Arka Das

Summer research intern, NTU Singapore

Hello, I am Arka Das, a final year student pursuing Dual Degree (BTech + MTech in 5 yrs) in Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. I gained interest in membrane separation during a summer internship at Reliance Industries Limited, India, where I worked on enhancement of water recovery in Effluent Treatment Plant units. This led to my bachelor's thesis on the preparation and performance of TFN nanofiltration membranes under the supervision of Prof. Sirshendu De at IIT Kharagpur. Currently, I am a summer research intern, focusing on the development of sustainable wood-based membranes under the guidance of Dr. Arpita Iddya at NTU Singapore. My broader research interests include sustainable water treatment and selective resource recovery. I enjoy playing football and volleyball or catching up on web series in my leisure time.
